How the Decomposition Works

1. Slot Identification

The engine maps each morpheme to one of 9 positional slots: PreInitial, Subject, Tense, Object, Root, Extension₁, Extension₂, FinalVowel, Locative.

2. Tonal Assignment

The 5-step pipeline assigns H/L tones to each mora based on lexical tones, Meeussen's Rule, melodic patterns, spreading, and OCP cleanup.

3. Record Generation

The complete record includes surface form, slot decomposition, tonal analysis with rule provenance, and English gloss.
